This film is a little bit different. It is a talk that I gave in June 2023 for the 17th conference organised by the Small Island Cultures Research Initiative (SICRI). It was held in Miyajima, Hiroshima, Japan although I joined by video conference, hence the reason I have this film. The conference theme was Island Innovation, Resilience, and Revitalization. It was co-hosted by the Japanese Society for Geographical Sciences (JSGS).
